MARK & CAITIE

A still-functioning cattle property, and now a boutique wedding venue, Yandina Station is pretty much a wedding photographers dream.  Managed by the warm and welcoming Sally and Neil, the venue is nestled in the hinterland behind Coolum Beach.

The Homestead itself is the oldest continually lived-in residence on the Sunshine Coast.  It oozes old world charm, and is surrounded by picturesque open country with views to Mt Coolum and beyond.

Following two visits to this idyllic setting, gifted with the knowledge that two people in love had never been so deserving of the perfect partner that each had found in the other, we were certain this day would go off without a hitch.

The weather had other ideas.  An unseasonal rain event threatened to dash all plans for an outdoor ceremony.  It bucketed down in the lead up.  But a mixture of prayers, hopeful skyward glances and even a few tears saw the heavens clear just when we needed, for just long enough, and we partied into the night to the tune of rain beating down on the old iron roof.

Wonderful though this was, this perfect day was made even more so by Dylan Kuipersmith, who became a marriage celebrant to officially wed his sister, Caitie, to her love, Mark.  Under the giant tree, in the shade of the mountain, he showed us all what love and family mean.

Truly a day to remember.
